Most money apps want your bank login. Vellum doesn't. Everything you record stays on your iPhone, locked with Face ID, and only ever leaves when you choose to export or back it up.
No account. No bank login. No tracking.
You don't sign up for Vellum and you never hand over bank credentials. There are no analytics or advertising tools in the app, and no Vellum server stores your records.

Locked, the way you like it
Protect Vellum with a passcode and Face ID or Touch ID, and choose whether it asks every time, after 15, 30 or 60 minutes away, or only after it's been closed. Balances are always hidden in the app switcher, and your card's CVV only appears after Face ID.
Your data, your copy
Make a single backup file with every entry, card, category, budget and receipt, and keep it wherever you like. Restore it on any iPhone. Delete everything in one step whenever you want.

Is Vellum safe to use without linking my bank?
Yes, that's the point. Vellum never asks for bank logins. You record entries yourself or scan receipts, so your banking credentials are never shared with anyone.
Can anyone else see my data?
Your records live on your iPhone. Vellum has no account system and no server holding your entries, so there's nothing for anyone else to access.
What happens if I lose my iPhone?
Make regular backups and keep them in iCloud Drive or Files. You can restore a backup on any iPhone with Vellum installed.
